Never Feel Anger Again
How would you like to never again feel angry?
It’s a nice thought, but is that even possible? After all, anger is the result of a fair assessment of a situation in which an unfairness of some sort has occurred.
But is it really?
Let’s step back and think about what anger really means. And we’ll use this powerful sentence from A Course in Miracles:
Anger cannot occur unless you believe that you have been attacked, that your attack is justified in return, and that you are in no way responsible for it. (T-6.in.1)
So we have three conditions for the onset of anger: (1) we’ve been attacked or unfairly treated, (2) a counterattack by us is fair, and (3) it’s not our fault.
And all three of those can be seen in a different light when we step out of our ego mind.
When we’re in our right mind, we do not see attack – all we see is a crying out for help. And when that’s what we see, the idea of attacking back is meaningless. Instead, we channel love in whatever form is most helpful for the situation. And there is no sense of condemnation or blame.
Thus when we’re in our right mind, anger can never occur. We simply radiate a peace that embraces everyone and everything around us.
